Trading Desk — Draw a Box and Arm It

The Trading Desk lets you plan an entry right on the chart, not in a settings menu. Here's how to draw a box, set up the launch ramp, and arm it.

Picking a module from a list is one thing. Drawing a box directly on the chart, exactly where the entry really sits, is another. That's what the Trading Desk does — and it's the only place where free limit orders inside a box are possible, without a fixed module scheme.

Draw a box

In the toolbar under the chart, choose “Box.” Two clicks on the chart — the first sets one corner, the second the opposite one — and the box spans a time and price window. A third click elsewhere releases it from edit mode; after that it only changes through the launch ramp.

Set up the launch ramp

Below the chart, the launch ramp opens with your new box. Expanding it shows leverage, module, and volume. The module here is called “Free limit orders in the box” — it only exists on the Trading Desk, because entries aren't tied to fixed steps but spread freely across the drawn box. Below that come direction, stop-loss distance, and take-profit, automatic by Fibonacci by default.

Arm the box

The switch next to the box starts out as “drawn, not armed” — pure planning, nothing happens yet. Flipping it turns that into “armed — monitored on the server”: the box switches from outlined to solid green on the chart, and if price hits it, real orders go out to the exchange. After that it can only be disarmed, not edited directly — to change anything, disarm first.

In short

A drawn box is harmless as long as it stays drawn — the switch is the one place where planning turns into trading. And a tool that only goes live after a second, deliberate click also forgives a slightly crooked first corner.
