Connect an Exchange — Bybit, Blofin or Pionex

Before a signal can trade, SonarSignal needs a connection to your exchange. Here's how to add your key — and how to keep every withdrawal locked.

A signal is just a suggestion until someone executes it. For SonarSignal to trade for you — automatically through PRO signals, via the bot, or manually from the Trading Desk — the app needs access to your exchange. That access stays with you, not with us.

Choose an exchange

In the “Connected Exchanges” tile row — it appears on both the Dashboard and Trading AI — you'll see Bybit, Blofin, and now Pionex side by side. If you're not registered on one yet, “Register on Exchange” takes you there. Pionex already accepts a key, but trading isn't live there yet — for now, Bybit and Blofin are the right choice.

Create access on the exchange

On Bybit or Blofin, you create an API key with trading rights. Blofin also needs a passphrase, which you set yourself when creating the key — SonarSignal can't read it back afterward.

Enter the key in SonarSignal

“Enter API” takes you to Trading AI and opens the right dialog directly. There you enter the API key and secret, plus the passphrase for Blofin. For the exchange's IP whitelist, the dialog shows the fixed server address with a copy button.

Confirm the safeguards

Before saving, the dialog asks for two checkboxes: that withdrawal rights are disabled on the exchange, and that the server IP is on its whitelist. You handle both on the exchange itself, not in SonarSignal — the app just asks whether it's done. Then comes a disclaimer for automated trading.

Connect Blofin as an app instead

If you'd rather skip the IP whitelist, go to “API Key Usage” on Blofin, choose “Connect to Third-Party Applications,” and select SonarSignal there — the dialog shows the app directly. One less step, same result.

Check the connection

If everything's right, the tile switches from grey to colored and shows “API active.” If something's missing, it stays at “no API” — a safe state, not an error.

In short

Your key is the one part of this chain that never sits with us — what it's allowed to do is the exchange's call, not the app's. And an account that can't withdraw is one you don't lose sleep over.
